Delta dual shower head for the height challenged

Despite the fact that I can no longer see over my teenager's head when I stand behind him (!), this post is *not* about my height challenge.  After almost 2 years in our new place, Julia casually mentions that the shower head in her bathroom is so high that it makes it difficult for her to rinse her hair well.  Oops.
So, here's our solution, a Delta Shower Performance shower head with an upper and lower shower head.  The lower one mounts with a suction cup (as shown below) or an adhesive disk.  The suction seems sufficient for us, so we're sticking with that (haha) for now, so that the height can be adjusted as needed.
There's a 3-way diverter that allows you to have the water flow from both shower heads or either one individually.  The diverter is on the top shower head, though, so we're leaving it on the "lower shower head only" setting until otherwise notified.  Of course, when (adult-sized) guests are here, we can turn on the top shower head as well.
A trip to Lowes, forty bucks, and it's (shower) curtains closed on this height-related dilemma for the moment.  If you're in the market for a new shower head, be sure to verify whether the kit you choose includes Teflon tape, to avoid a mid-installation run back to the hardware store!

  1. We recently installed this Delta product, and are pleased with the results. It provides a great solution to height disparity of the users.
I would like to get at least one more suction cup holder, so we can accommodate children as well as short and tall adults, without removing and relocating the holder. It has been holding quite well with suction only (I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol), and I don't want to move the holder back and forth.
I was searching for a source of additional holders when i found thius site.

  2. great, I'm so glad it is working out for you! I can see the value in having extra disks, too!

  3. Sorry to say I've had little luck finding extra suction cup shower wand holders. The Delta site does not recognize the product # (75530), nor does the "wizard" show the combination, relocatable shower head by picture, nor does the parts site provided by a link have anything like it.
It looks like I'll have to find a substitute.

  4. There are definitely substitutes out there, but they aren't particularly attractive, plus who knows how well they will stay up...you might try emailing delta or calling their customer service?
