priority reset

Our house-related priorities have changed a lot since we added a puppy to our family.  We've put up a fence in the backyard, puppy-proofed (securing electrical cords, adding a gate to a non-puppy-proofed upstairs), and learned to watch where we step to avoid the chew toys and balls that are underfoot on our previously toy-free floor.

This week, however, priorities have shifted because our pup (who just turned 1 this weekend) is very sick (high fever, swelling on his neck...)  So sad!  So all house-related projects are temporarily on hold whilst we take care of our little one (and try to keep up with work and kids, too, of course.)   The priming and painting of the drywall around the new bathroom fan will just have to wait.  Sometimes a priority reset is in order, just sad that it took such a drama to get here.
