It's been a summer of many outdoor projects--new fence, new patio, new shed...lots going on! Even so, there are a lot of things that are still left undone. Top of the 'if we don't fix this I'm going to lose my mind' list is the muddy area behind the new patio (notice the makeshift fence keeping the white puppy out of the dirt.)
I was out of town this weekend for work, and imagine my surprise when Handy Andy sent me these amazing pictures of his DIY solution--benches and planters around the new patio!
The planters are made using leftover cedar from the shed gate project. I'll add some more pictures (and maybe some details on the construction, if I can get them) soon.
I'm definitely going to be planning more work-related travel! Have you ever gone out of town only to return to some fabulous DIY surprise? Please tell me I'm not the only one!
Very cool! I want to build some window boxes when we head back outside in the spring. I wonder how we could incorporate something like this!
